I love layering hair color textures and finishes. I am a fan of natural color palettes tweaked with a little rosé or dusty violet. I pride myself on creating elegant hair with an artistic twist. Hair color has come so far; we can decide on the shine level—it’s ideal to add a matte finish to hair that tends to become oily at the scalp, or to add a gloss to hair textures that tend to be dry. I approach hair cutting in the same manner. I stay up-to-date on trends. But what I’m really interested is creating the perfect hair for lifestyle, maintenance, and ability. Sometimes getting your hair done is the only self-care practiced, and I take that very seriously.

Even if you are having your best day ever, my intention is for you to feel even happier when you leave my chair.

Having over 10 years of haircutting experience- mostly in barbershops, it has been an enjoyable change of environment being at Sparrow salon. I am dedicated to continued hair education and always working on honing my skills. I take pride in being a barber and being able to offer barber services in Sparrow salon as well as cutting hair of all lengths and texture. I love to create a cut that is suitable for my client that will be easy to maintain and grow out nicely. Picture references are preferred and detailed communication as well.

Original SoCal girl. I’ve made Oregon my home for over 21 years which has gotten me addicted to some really great coffee. Love to travel, the hustle of big cities excites me. I enjoy reading a good biography, a self help book or listening to a true crime podcast. Seeing live music is always a good time spent with my favorite people.

As an industry educator, teaching people & sharing knowledge is endlessly rewarding. Doing so keeps me grateful & motivated to stay current. And yes, I do love what I do, but in my next life I could be a professional comedian. Wink wink!!s here

I am new to Portland but not to the hair biz! After over 13 years of doing hair in Seattle, I decided to make the move to the beautiful city of PDX. I am so excited to meet more of you lovely locals! My favorite part of my job is building a trusting relationship with my clients and to create styles that offer ease and longevity with each service while educating my clients in maintaining their hair at home. I truly have a passion for making everyone who sits in my chair leave the salon feeling their true, authentic selves.

When I'm not at the salon, I'm usually snuggling my pups, working house projects or discovering more of Portland. Any tips on food, beer or hikes are welcome!

Hi! I’m Tia, and I’ve been a hairstylist for 20 years. I’m passionate about creating natural, low-maintenance hair colors that grow out beautifully, and I love playing with vivid color palettes. My specialty haircut is the Bob, and I also offer a range of customized hair extension services tailored to each client’s needs. When I’m not behind the chair, I’m chasing after my toddler and trying to steal snuggles from my sweet lady-cat, Lorraine. I’m into spooky movies, true crime podcasts, audiobooks, and taking long, leisurely walks through Target.
